It's shocking to see how many students these days have completely zero school pride. They don't bother about their school, they don't get involved in programs, and they just seem website uninterested. It's like they've forgotten what it means to be part of a group and support their fellow students. This lack of passion is negative to the entire school atmosphere.

This Isn't My Old School
When I hear the words "alma mater|my old school|the place where I learned}", it doesn't bring back feelings of warmth and nostalgia. For me, it's a distant concept. Maybe because my time there were quite unique, or perhaps I simply haven't had the time to look back. Whatever the reason, that phrase doesn't carry the same meaning for me as it does for others.
It's not that I haven't appreciated my time at school. It was a period of growth, just not one that resonates in the way many people describe.
Perhaps it's because I found my passions away from the traditional school setting. Or maybe it's because my memories are defined by specific experiences. Whatever the case, "Not My Alma Mater|My School Is Different|This Isn't My Old School", and that's perfectly okay.

Seriously, school/the whole idea of/that thing they call "school spirit/spirit week/pep rallies" is about as appealing/relevant/interesting to me as a moldy sandwich/root canal/trip to the dentist. I'd rather be practicing my guitar/reading a good book/taking a nap than wearing my school colors and participating in lame competitions. I value knowledge, not glorified cheering.

My Eyes Are On The Prize (Snacks)
Let's be real, sometimes gathering/ chilling/hanging out with people/ friends/squad is all about the spread/ feast/ bounty! I mean, who can resist a good platter/ selection/ assortment of tasty treats/ goodies/ munchies? It's like a buffet/ an oasis/ the promised land of deliciousness/ yumminess/ pure snacking heaven. Give me pizza rolls any day! I totally prioritize/live for/am here for those snacks/ goodies/ bites that make a gathering/ hangout/ party truly unforgettable.
